A collection of short stories about animals told through human voices.

The relationship between human beings and nature is vital for everyone and everything on this planet to thrive. But it feels like, despite the great efforts of many inspirational people, we as a species are steadily losing this connection.

As a result, we forget the complexity and wonder in every creature, and that they too are equal citizens of this planet.

For every animal, there are thousands of stories. Story Animals is a collection of these stories, as told by the human beings that know them best.

Because we believe animals need more voices out there, we wanted them to come alive through the people that have connected with them physically, emotionally and spiritually. 

Story Animals calls upon the earth’s preeminent storytelling animals, human beings, to reimagine how we think of our wild siblings.

Many of the stories have never been told before, or shared beyond the teller’s immediate community. We hope that by giving them a platform, they will not only engage and captivate, but perhaps even inspire empathy for Earth’s awesome creatures.

Conservation is about more than just teaching people what to do or not do, but about reaching their hearts through storytelling.

Orangutans can’t tell us what's wrong, and they don’t understand that we’re trying to help them, or worse, they think that we’re trying to kill them.  This makes the work dangerous...
